Pennsylvania Chippendale Cherry Chest
A Pennsylvania Chippendale cherry chest of drawers, fourth quarter 18th century, the thumb molded rectangular top over four graduated drawers flanked by fluted quarter columns, raised on ogee bracket feet.
Dimensions:Height 37 3/4in; width 42in; depth 21 3/4in.
Condition:Structurally sound. Having full depth dust boards.The two board top with general marks, wear, dings, dents and surface scratches. The case sides with age cracks and minor separation. The brass hardware is all later replacements and in new holes. The feet appear to be original. The drawer fronts have plugged holes visible, scattered scarring from previous hardware to drawer fronts. The top drawer is lacking a lockplate. No key.
