Stendig, Italy Andover Lacquer Chairs, Davis Allen
A set of eight "Andover" black lacquer armchairs, Davis Allen (American, 1916-1999) for Stendig, Italy, with manufacturer's label to the underside, together with an imposing granite and and black-painted iron dining table, the base marked for Cassina.
Dimensions:Height of chairs 36 1/4in; width 21 1/2in; depth 21in; seat height 17 1/2in; Height of table 30 1/2in; width 42 1/4in; length 106 1/2in.
Condition:The chairs as pictured, with typical marks and wear commensurate with age and use. The table with typical scuffs and surface scratches to the top. the edge with some roughness and small chip losses and flea bites, the legs with typical marks and wear.
