Two Antique American Wool Naval Flags, Second/Third Quarter 20th Century. Comprising a Vice Admiral ship's rank flag and a forty-eight star ensign. Inscribed to the hoist of the 'Vice Admiral' flag, inscribed "VICE ADMIRAL ON DESTROYER". Each indigo-dyed wool with linen appliqued stars.
Dimensions: Dimensions of Vice Admiral flag 52 1/2 x 79in; Dimensions of forty-eight star naval ensign 47 x 71in.
Provenance: Property from a Maryland Collection.
Condition:
Each in generally good condition overall, expected wear throughout commensurate with age and use. Minor wear, frays and discolorations.
