Pennsylvania Chippendale Walnut Blanket Chest
A Pennsylvania Chippendale Walnut Blanket Chest, Late 18th Century. The strap hinged rectangular top with applied molded edge enclosing a dovetail-constructed box, raised on bracket feet.
Dimensions: Height 19in; width 46 1/2in; depth 19in.
Condition:
Structurally sound. Retaining an old surface. Scattered marks, wear, heavy abrasions and surface scratches. One foot facing with a glued repair. Age cracks and shrinkage throughout. The interior lacking it's left till, iron lock and lock catch. No key.
