Federal Inlaid Walnut Card Table
A Federal Inlaid Walnut Fold-Top Card Table, Early 19th Century. The rectangular top with ovolo corners, the apron with large birdseye maple inlaid paterae, raised on square tapered legs.
Dimensions: Height 29 1/2in; width 36 1/4in; depth 17 1/2in; depth open 35 1/4in.
Provenance: Property from a Maryland Collection.
Condition:
Retaining an old finish. Sun fading throughout. Scattered small losses to veneers throughout. The top with warping. The front right leg with a significant warp. Both of the back legs are slightly loose where they are mortise and tenoned. General marks, wear, nicks and surface scratches.
