Federal Crossbanded and Inlaid Cherry Side Table
Federal Inlaid Cherry Side Table, First Quarter 19th Century. The rectangular mahogany crossbanded and string inlaid top with birdseye maple inlaid lozenge above a single drawer to the frieze with conforming lozenge inlay, raised on slender square tapered legs with inlaid banding to the ankles.
Dimensions: Height 28 1/2in; width 20 1/4in; depth 18in.
Provenance: Property from a Maryland Collection.
Condition:
Structurally sound. Scattered marks, wear, scuffs and surface scratches throughout. There is a significant scratch to the center of the top measuring approximately 2 1/2in. Scattered old patches to inlaid molding along edges of top, otherwise good condition.
