His collection reflects his interest in the Delaware Valley, with an emphasis on mid 18th through early 19th century silversmiths and figured hardwoods vetted by his discerning eye for form and surface. Among the highlights are a Thomas Stretch Philadelphia clock, a collection of figured maple furniture, and silver by noted makers such as Joseph Richardson Sr. and Richard Humphreys.

A Set of Eight Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Birdcage Windsor Chairs, Possibly by Jacob and Frederick Fetter, 19th Century. Comprising six side chairs and a pair of armchairs. Each with bamboo turnings, having an octagonal ornament to the crest above a rod-back. Unmarked. (8)
Dimensions: Height of side chairs 35in; width 18in; depth of seat 15in; seat height 17 3/4in; Height of armchairs 35in; width 18 1/2in; depth of seat 15in; seat height 17 3/4in.
Provenance: Acquired in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Condition:
Structurally sound. The set retaining old dark brown surfaces. Wear commensurate with age and use; general marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and surface scratches.
