A Pennsylvania Federal Cherry Slant Front Desk, Circa 1800. The hinged thumb molded fall with mitered corners, enclosing an interior fitted with nine short drawers and eight pigeon holes, above four graduated and cockbeaded drawers over a molded base, raised on bracket feet.
Dimensions: Height 46 1/4in; width 38 3/4in; depth 21 3/4in.
Provenance: Property from a New Jersey Collection.
Condition:
Structurally sound. In an overall refinished condition. Typical marks, wear, nick, surface scratches and small losses. The brass hardware is later replacements hiding vacant holes to drawer fronts. With key.
