Russia, late 19th c., Tempera on panel, inscribed in ecclesiastical Slavonic, central depiction of Christ Pantocrator as a frontal half-length portrait with opened Gospel book and raised right hand in a gesture of blessing, finely engraved oklad of chased metal, with separately made nimbus set in an architecturally designed fluted frame with pointed gable, in its upper third additional relief depiction of the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove, losses of substance, old retouched, in need of restoration, dimensions 35 x 22 cm.
