von Bäumen umgebenes, teils überwachsenes Säulenrondell an einem Teich mit Lesender, leicht pastose Malerei, Öl auf Leinwand, Ende 19. Jh., rechts unten signiert "Edm. Allouard", auf der Rückseite teils bezeichnet "... Allouard", auf Keilrahmenrückseite Stempel "LF" mit Anker und Äskulapstab, etwas farbschwundrissig, Randbereich mit Textilband verstärkt und reinigungsbedürftig, gerahmt, Falzmaße ca. 55 x 38,5 cm. Künstlerinfo: frz. Maler und Lithograph (nachweisbar 1881 Paris bis 1924), Studium an der École de Beaux-Arts décoratifs in Paris bei Edmond Lechevallier-Chevignard, Mitglied der société des Arts de Francois, beschickte zwischen 1881 und 1924 den Salon des Artistes Francais, Quelle: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer und Bénézit.
Edmond Allouard, The Enchanted Place
Columned roundel surrounded by trees, partly overgrown, by a pond with a reader, slightly impasto painting, oil on canvas, late 19th century, signed lower right "Edm. Allouard", on the reverse partly inscribed "... Allouard", stamped "LF" with anchor and Aesculapian staff on the reverse of the stretcher, some colour shrinkage, the margins reinforced with textile tape and in need of cleaning, framed, dimensions approx. 55 x 38.5 cm. Artist information: French painter and lithographer (traceable 1881 Paris to 1924), studied at the École de Beaux-Arts décoratifs in Paris under Edmond Lechevallier-Chevignard, member of the société des Arts de Francois, attended the Salon des Artistes Francais between 1881 and 1924, source: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer and Bénézit.
