Maler und Graphiker (geboren 1947 in Halle/Saale), Kindheit in Halle, 1965-66 Lehre zum Gebrauchswerber, 1968-73 Studium an der HGB Leipzig bei Werner Tübke, Hans Mayer-Foreyt und Wolfgang Mattheuer, anschließend in Halle tätig, ab 1975 Lehrauftrag an der Kunsthochschule Burg Giebichenstein in Halle (Saale), ab 1978 parallel freischaffend in Halle-Neustadt, Mitglied des VBK der DDR, unternahm Studienreisen in die Mongolei sowie nach Krakow, Frankfurt am Main und Leningrad, erhielt diverse Auszeichnungen, unter anderem 1978 Förderpreis des Kulturministeriums, 1984 Kunstpreis der Stadt Halle und 2009 den Halleschen Kunstpreis, 1990-97 Mitglied im Künstlersonderbund Deutschland e.V., tätig in Halle, Quelle: Eisold "Künstler in der DDR" und Internet.
