Mishnayot Zra’im and Taharot. Warsaw 1877 and 1878. Meyuchas copy.
Two volumes of Mishnayot from Warsaw:
1. Zra’im: 1878. Two title pages with red ink, at the end is the exegesis “Shnot Eliyahu” by the Gra, with a separate title page. Year of printing on the latter listed as 1872. [9], 133, 39 leaves.
2. Taharot: 1877. Two title pages, with the exegesis “Eliyahu Raba” by the Gra at the end, with a separate title page and the year of printing noted as 1863. [2], 223, [1], 26 leaves. Antique leather bindings, stains, overall good condition.
Each volume has notes of ownership with the content: “Haim Yisrael Haltovsky, Batei Ungarin 36 in Jerusalem.” See below. Other notes.
Rabbi Haim Yisrael Haltovsky was the son of Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel Haltovsky, head of the Beit Aharon Karlin yeshiva in Jerusalem and grabd father of the Admor of Pinsk-Karlin.
