Talmud Bavli, Masechet Niddah, Small Format. Metz 1770.
Masechet Niddah of the Bavli Talmud, with Hilchot Rav Elfas (separate title page), small format: “Every leaf is one page of the regular editions”. Metz, 1770.
Appearing before the Chidushei Maharsha is a leaf of approbations, including an approbation by Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel Lviv. The approbations hints at the controversy between the printers of Metz and Amsterdam (see Rabinowitz, article on the Printing of the Talmud, p. 124).
At the end of the Masechet is a leaf with a table of corrections, which does not appear in all copies and is not in the National Library. 172, [2] leaves, 44, 30.
Old healthy binding. A blemish to the edge, affecting the text of Masoret HaShas on the margins of the sheet. A single moth burrow at the end of the book. Good overall condition.
