Panoramic bird's-eye view of Jerusalem seen from the East.
The map has two keys, one on the left (with letters) describing general areas within the city and one on the bottom (with numbers) listing 52 important buildings and landmarks. The landscape is exceptionally detailed with each building rendered individually and many people seen wandering around the foreground and within the city itself. Halma was a Dutch printer, editor and bookseller.
This map, from his "Kanaan" published in 1717 in Leeuwarden, is a reduced-scale version of Olfert Dapper's identical map published in 1677.
