Alexander (Alik) Gerber, painter and painting teacher, was born in Ukraine in 1966, and studied at the Academy of Design and Painting in Kariboi Derg. In 1990 he immigrated to Israel with his family, and continued his work as a designer, painter and teacher. He soon revealed himself as a master of textures by using different materials on canvas and wood. A change in the light upon moving to Israel also caused Gerbers color palette to change, and his works, in his semi-abstract style, excel in intense and eye-catching colors. Gerbers works are displayed in many galleries throughout the United States and Canada.
