Exceptional Shakespeare's HAMLET Stained Glass Window
A late 19th early 20th century stained glass window set on cast iron frame. Stained glass figural presentation of HAMLET having hand painted face and hands staining on green and white checker archway. The pillar columns made of raised turtle back amber glass. Most likely originating from a theatre opera house, although origin unknown. Measuring approx 29" tall x 25" wide. Hamlet, arguably William Shakespeare's most famous play, was written between 1599 and 1601. This play is an exquisite work that sets up some astonishing themes such as themes betrayal, love, and revenge. The play is basically centered around King Hamlet's death, or best said, murder. Windows resemble works by L.C Tiffany, LAMB co and Rudy Brothers! Impressive window that match similar to upcoming lots.
