הגאון רבי אלכסנדר חיים שווארץ זצ"ל נולד בשנת תרל"ז, למד בישיבת הגאון רבי עמרם בלום בעל בית שערים והגאון בעל ערוגת הבושם, שימש אב"ד גוראהאנץ רומעניא במשך ארבעים שנה, בשנת תש"א עבר לעיר אראד, ובשנת תש"ח עלה ארצה ושכן בירושלים, שם הרביץ תורה, נלב"ע ביום כ"ה באלול תשכ"ג. ספרו "תפארת חיים" נדפס בברוקלין תשנ"ג ומכיל חדושי ש"ס שלחן ערוך ורמב"ם.
