A handwritten tshuva of the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Tiktin, Rabbi of Lonshits, Galuna and Barsloy, author of Petach HaBayit. In the matter of Irovin
Rabbi Avraham Tiktin was born in [1761]. His father was Rabbi Gedalyah Tiktin, rabbi of Schwersenz. In his youth, he studied in Lissa, where he met and studied with Rabbi Akiva Eiger, Rabbi Yaakov of Lissa and Rabbi Chaim Auerbach. At first he served as rabbi in his hometown, Schwersenz, and later moved to Luntschitz and Glogau, a position he held for thirteen years. He was appointed rabbi of Breslau in 1816, a position he held until his passing in 1821. He was a noted genius and Rabbi Akiva Eiger wrote: "My lowly, weak opinion is invalidated against the great opinion of the genius ..." He authored Petach HaBayit.
