17 Perlman Dr. Suite 204 Spring Valley NY 10977, United States

A special sale of sacred books printed in holiness and purity by the righteous Rabbi Moshe Shapira of Slavita and his sons.

“All those who fear Hashem should try to acquire old printings of sefarim, which were mostly printed by G-d fearing Jews, especially those of the Slavita and Zhitomir printings, printed by the grandsons of the Rabbi of Koritz, exceptionally holy printers” (Taharas Hakodesh by the Shomer Emunim ch. 6).

Seforim that were printed at the printeries of Slavuta and Zhitmoir were known for their special holiness and sanctity, their printing blocks being immersed in a Mikveh before being used. It is common knowledge that possessing a book that was printed in Zhitomir or Slavuta is a Segulah for an abundance of blessing and success.

Printing of the Ohr Hachaim in the Slavita Press

Harav Yehoshua Halevi Horowitz of Tzfas wrote, “I heard… that Rav Pinchas of Koritz zt”l said that learning Ohr Hachaim brings benefit to the soul like the holy Zohar, because Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai possessed the soul of his generation’s Mashiach, as did the Ohr Hachaim possess the soul of his generation’s Mashiach. He instructed his sons to print the Ohr Hachaim every year… and then they will be saved from all evil…” (Migdal Oz, Kfar Chabad, 1980 page 268. Cited in Imrei Pinchas Hashalem vol. 2, page 59.)

Harav Moshe Shapira was the son of the legendary Admor Harav Pinchas of Koritz. Harav Moshe refused to accept the title of Rav or Rebbe and instead founded a printing press in his hometown of Slavita where he published many famous sifrei kodesh while maintaining uncompromising standards of excellence.

Chassidic leaders of his generation were effusive in their praises of the Slavita Press and often sought out these sefarim which were printed by righteous and pious tzaddikim.
