Sefer Tehillim with the Kabbalistic Sha'arei Yashar commentary and Chassidic Kabbalah by the wonder-worker the sacred Admo"r Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch (II) on Liska, may his blood be avenged, grandson of the sacred Admo"r Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Liska, author of Ach Pri Tevuah. Budapest, Katzberg Press, 1934. First edition, uncommon. Printed in the sacred author's lifetime.
The author writes in his approbation that he printed his commentary on Tehillim, before he printed the rest of his works, "and the reason for this is that at that difficult time, while I was praying by reciting Sefer Tehillim, as I concluded the passuk 'Kol HaNeshamah Tehallel Y-ah Halleluy-ah, ' the gates of mercy and lovingkindness opened for me ..."
האדמו"ר רבי צבי הירש פרידלנדר [תרל”ד-תש"ד], בנו של הגה"ק רבי חיים פרידלנדר (מחבר הספרים “טל חיים וברכה” על הש”ס, ו”טל חיים על התורה). אביו של רבי חיים, רבי משה פרידלנדר היה חתנא דבי נשיאה האדמו"ר הקדוש רבי צבי הירש מליסקא (הראשון), רבו של פועל הישועות בי ישעי'לה מקרעסטיר. רבינו שימש רב במאד ובגאווא, ונעשה אדמו”ר לאחר פטירת אביו רבי חיים בט’ באייר תרס”ד (1904). הוא היה גדול בתורה, איש הלכה וקבלה, החזיק ישיבה בליסקא והיה מפורסם כבעל מופת. עם כיבוש ליסקא ע”י הנאצים (03/1944), נאסר האדמו”ר מליסקא, שהיה כבר קרוב לגיל 70. בנו הבכור, רבי שלמה, שהיה לימים האדמו”ר מליסקא בארה”ב, שלח שליח מיוחד לחלץ את אביו מהגיטו בליסקא ולהעבירו לבודאפסט, אך הוא סירב לעזוב את עדתו.
בהקדמת ספרו “שערי הישר” כותב בנו, הרה"ק רבי יוזפא : "אדוני אבי מורי ורבי כבוד קדושת ש”ת רבינו הגאון הקדוש, בוצינא דנהורה, שר התורה בנגלה ובנסתר וכו’, מופת הדור וכו’, מו”ה צבי הירש פריעדלאנדער האבדק”ק ליסקא... כבוד אבינו זי”ע, כבר בימי עלומיו הי’ נחשב כאחד האדמורי”ם החשובים מגדולי הונגאריא, והכירו עוצם חריפותו וקדושתו, היה משיב תשובות רבות לאלפים להלכה, כי הי’ רבן של ישראל, ורבים הלכו לאורו, ובפרט בימים הקדושים כאשר דרש לעם ישראל דרכי השם בהתלהבות בגודל קדושתו, והי’ פה מפיק מרגלית, דובר משרים בטוב טעמו, והם אמרי נועם שיצאו מלב טהור".
