Chinese Covered Serpentine Vase w/ Chain
Chinese Republic period carved serpentine covered vase, with a meticulously carved chain connecting the vase with the tail of a fearsome beast. The lid is surmounted by a phoenix, which bears in its beak a second carved chain. The carving rests on a custom carved wood stand and is accompanied by a fitted box.
