Chinese Porcelain Pilgrim Flask with Dragon
Chinese blue and white porcelain pilgrim flask. This moon or pilgrim flask (bianhu) decorated along either side with clouds and a dragon. With a circular body with a flat base, a narrow cylindrical neck and two arched side handles which join the neck to the body. The underside with an apocryphal six-character Qianlong mark in underglaze blue.
Height: 14 in x width: 10 1/2 in x depth: 5 1/2 in.
Condition: The item is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or losses. There is a minute chip towards the underside. Light wear and light crazing throughout, as shown in the listing image. There are several areas with a network of black dots, possibly an original firing flaw, which does not affect the overall appearance. No visible sign of restoration when inspected under UV light. Light wear to the underside.
