Megan Rye Landscape Painting 2009
Megan Rye (American, b. 1975). Oil on canvas painting depicting a sunset landscape, 2009.
Rye is a Minneapolis-based artist. Her first significant body of work was "I Will Follow You Into the Dark, " based on photographs that the artist's brother took while serving in Iraq. The project debuted at the Minneapolis Institute of Art in 2007. She has also exhibited at the Weisman Art Museum, the Spencer Museum of Art, Forum Gallery in New York City, and many more.
Height: 21 in x width: 28 in x depth: 1 3/4 in.
Condition: The colors are bold and bright and the surface is stable. There is some wear to the surface, mainly along the extreme edges where there are some minute paint losses due to rubbing against the surface. Light wear to the edges of the canvas. The work is not framed.
