Rare: Seder Tikkun Leil Shavuos - Moshe Shapiro Press, Slavita, 1823. Printed on Blue Paper.

A beautiful, complete copy of the Tikkun Leil Shavuos, printed by Moshe Shapiro in Slavita in 1823. Tikkun Leil Shavuos comprises various sections of the Torah, Nach, Gemarah and other sources, and is recited by many on the night of Shavuos.

Slavuta imprints have long been favored by Chassidim and their Rebbes, and remain in high demand till today. They are often known to bring blessing into one’s household as they were printed with utmost Holiness and purity. In addition, they are well-known for their quality, black letterpress font - an uncommon printing feat in the early 19th century. During their prime, the Shapiro family press was cherished and respected by all, and was undoubtedly one of the leading Jewish printing presses throughout the Russian Empire.

This Slavita edition of Tikkun Leil Shavuos printed by Moshe Shapiro himself is of utmost rarity, and is rarely seen at auction.

In very good condition; light stains to some leaves. Printed on blueish-greenish paper. Bound in an ornate, new leather binding with hand-tooled gold accents. Very Rare.

[2], 3-123; 1-78 pp.
