1908 Renault Model 50 CV With Original Bisque Chauffeur Made by the Hispania Company Barcelona - Circa 1908 - 22" Long Very Good Condition (Driver's door & one passenger door are old replacements, some mud guards reattached and very nominal period in-painting. All-in-all, in a fine state of preservation given the size & vintage of this toy.) Hispania produced an exclusive and expensive line of toys at the beginning of the Twentieth Century. For this output, they often used lavish materials such as the brass trim found on the hood of this gorgeous Renault. Brass is also used to create the headlights and indicator lights. Their brilliant simulation of automotive spoked wheels has no equal in the long history of toy making. Toys from the Hispania Company are as scarce as hen's teeth and only seldom come to market.
