Double Gallopers Buckboard
By Ives, Blakeslee & Company Bridgeport, Ct. - Circa 1880 - 11.5" L Ex - Tom Anderson Collection Excellent Plus original figure about 50% restored) Many collectors believe that Ives, Blakeslee made the finest and most realistic looking clockwork toys at the end of the 19th century. This charming buckboard is certainly no exception. We find horses that gallop up and down in opposing motions and a wheelbase that can be changed so the carriage can run in a straight line or a broad circle. All-in-all, a very appealing old toy.
