Germania Exchange Mechanical Bank
Made by the J. & E. Stevens Company of Cromwell, Ct. - Early 1880's. In his new role as lead bank designer at J. & E. Stevens, Charles Bailey was assigned the design of the Germania Exchange Bank. As in the Bismark Bank above, he once again creates a toy bank from lead, tin and cast iron elements. This whimsical beer-guzzling goat standing atop the keg certainly ranks among his finest designs.
