Rare See-Saw - Cast Iron Candy Scale
By Ives, Blakeslee and Company. Bridgeport, Connecticut - 1890's - 9 1/4" Long. Two children are observed playing on a primitive see-saw fashioned from tree limbs. The girl, who functions to receive the weights in her apron, sits on the terminus opposite from the candy basket. While the boy rides precariously upon the central fulcrum. Very few examples of this pretty toy have survived into modern times in such terrific condition, complete with original candy basket and weights.
Condition: Pristine Paint and Patina - Includes the Original Candy Basket & Weights.
