African Articulate Eket Female Mask
African, Nigeria wood carved articulate mask, slit eyes, raised brow and moveable jaw, applied details to each side of the masks face. Suspension holes to add to the overall ritual costume this would have been worn for. Size of mask 10 1/2" H, on included custom stand 15" H
Collected prior to 2008, ex-Lacy Gallery (Vanna & Lee Lacy collection), Los Angeles CA. Lacy Gallery was founded upon six decades of collecting ethnographic and fine art. Lee Lacy was a distinguished Hollywood producer of iconic TV series and commercials.
Condition: As-is with a crack through bottom jaw, losses commensurate with age.
