Group of Sung Dynasty Kohl Pots & Glazed Jar
East Asia, China, Sung Dynasty, ca. mid-10th to 12th century CE.Three kohl pots, or makeup jarlets on a custom wood stand. One is blue and white and painted with geometric and floral details, the other two are stoneware glazed. The largest and most decorated is beautifully hand painted and glazed, with animal handles to each shoulder, blue, green, ochre detailed against a ground white glaze in a lenticular form. Size of largest 3" W
Condition: As-is condition with losses to rims of smaller jars as shown, wear commensurate with age.
