Large Tairona Tumbaga Labret, 1000 CE -1500 CE
Pre-Columbian, Tairona 1000 CE - 1500 CE tumbaga gold alloy lip plug in large form. Pierced outer rim in a filigree style work, fine braided detailing to slit protrusion as well as to the neck in paired bands to each side. Size 1 1/2" L x 1" W, 2" H on custom stand included.
Used widely throughout pre-Columbian cultures Tumbaga is a wide varying mix of gold, copper, and other elements.
Condition: Patina and wear commensurate with age and use.
