Islamic Copper Engraved Bowl, Late-Mamluke 16th c. style
Egypt or Syria, Mamluk Empire 1250-1517. Large later period 16th century style bowl of deep rounded form constructed in interlaced copper hammered smooth together. The exterior with calligraphic text and intricately decorated exterior designs including rosettes and interlaced patterns. The interior with a smoothed surface. 19" W x 8 1/2" H
