Chinese Neolithic Jade Pig Dragon Pendant, Hongshan 4700-2900 BCE
Northeast China, West Liao River Basin, Hongshan culture 4700-2900 BCE. Exceptional jade carving of pig-dragon in a white-blueish hardstone, drilled in antiquity for suspension with a clear reverse cut to the mouth of the dragon. Size 5 1/4" H x 4 3/4" W
Collected prior to 2008, ex-Lacy Gallery (Vanna & Lee Lacy collection), Los Angeles CA. Lacy Gallery was founded upon six decades of collecting ethnographic and fine art. Lee Lacy was a distinguished Hollywood producer of iconic TV series and commercials.
