Japanese Mounted Fabric Paintings
Set of Japanese fabric paintings, likely painted on silk, depicting two warriors in battle each on horseback. Left framed painting shows a warrior on horseback fighting against hidden enemies, riding through a raging river. Right framed painting depicts a warrior fully dressed in armour with a bow and arrow. He rides on horseback along the river. Each painting has seal stamp and calligraphy to upper right and lower left corners, respectively. Size sight of each 23 1/4" H x 11 1/2" W, in frame 28 1/2" H x 16 1/2" W
Condition: Damage to some areas of fabric fronts, frames also have surface wear and scratches.
