Byzantine Pottery Oil Lamp, ca. 7th to 8th Century AD
Lovely Byzantine oil lamp with crenelated walls and turrets. Outer edges with incised geometric motifs throughout. Pigment remains giving off a polychrome style feel with the original red glaze beneath, with black burnishing marks, and cream colored pigment. Size 6" L x 4 3/4" W x 3" H
