Carved Mother & Child, Punu Early 20th c.
Central Africa, Gabon, Punu Early 20th c. Finely carved early 20th century maternity figure of a mother and child in an amber colored wood with mother resting hands at her knees and with child in satchel at her back, hair worn high, and intricate cross hatch carving emulating tattooing to head and belly. Size 5 3/8" H
Condition: As-is condition with minor surface wear.
