Chinese Hard Stone Pixiu
Beautiful ochre, copper, and viridescent coloring throughout this example of a Chinese Pixiu. The creature is depicted with mouth agape, and standing in a fighting stance, his tail twitches behind him frozen in time. Pixiu is a Chinese mythical hybrid creature. Pixiu are considered powerful protectors of the souls of the dead, and resemble strong, winged lions. Size 8 1/2" L x 7" H
Condition: As-is condition with surface wear throughout, minor losses to points of mane and snout.
