West Africa, Ivory Coast / Guinea, Republic of Guinea, 20th century. Hardwood carved pregnant female figure with a polished dark brown patina. Size 35 1/8" H, 6 1/4" W
Piece collected circa early 1980's. Family collection of an esteemed diplomat and ambassador amassed during travel and work circa 1960-1990s in the medical field providing charitable advanced medical care throughout the African continent and internationally.
