Very Large Colima Redware Dog, 300 BCE - 300CE
Fantastic redware Colima dog, 300 BCE - 300 CE in very large scale and brilliant deep red color. Depicted in a semi-standing at the ready or attention pose with a curved upward short tail. Head looking upward and open mouth with incisors clearly visible. The piece is highly burnished with root marks and manganese deposits throughout the surface. Size of the piece is significantly larger than most seen listed. Size 11 1/2" H x 15 1/2" L x 6 1/2" W

Condition: Restored from multiple pieces including several large sections on the body, head reattached, ear reattached.
