Chinese Brass Gourd Shaped Chicken Spout Ewer
Lovely detailed Chinese bronze chicken spout ewer with lion head handle, chain for suspension above an open flame, bulbous gourd or pumpkin shaped body. This ewer is in the final stage of craftsmanship before it would have been sent to the enamel artist to create an incredibly colorful cloisonne ewer. Each bare spot in between wire details would be filled with different vibrant colors of ground pigments throughout. Size 2 3/4" W x 3" H
Condition: Well preserved condition throughout with patina commensurate with age.
