Japanese gilt all brass & copper presentation wakizashi sword, Meiji period 1868-1912. Fine gilt brass and copper embossed scabbard with a series of three leafed clovers between brass bands. The blade a single edge slender blade. The handle in matching brass panels with a solid tsuba with sea and waves engraved. Size 24" L, blade 15 1/2" L

Note the symbolism of the three-leafed clover became the symbol and coat of arms of the Nishimura family over five centuries ago.

Condition: Good with patination from age and some light scratching or wear overall commensurate with age and use.
