Neapolitan Percussion Dueling Pistols, Cased Set
Fine pair or brace of Neapolitan cased dueling pistols circa mid 1800s. Barrels octagonal to round with a lightly flared blunderbuss tip, profusely marked and gilt with proof marks. Cursive "R" under the crown & "FAB. R. DI NAP" with the N in reverse (Napoli/Naples). Silver mounted throughout with Gothic Italian scrolling, blued lock plate, hammer, and barrel. Two-step hammer mechanism. Size box 13 1/2" L x 9 1/2" W, pistol 12 1/4" L, barrel 7 1/4" L
