Museum Antique Brass Electroplate Gauntlet, 19th C.
Early museum brass or bronze electroplate gauntlet with heavy decoration and engraving detailing intricate crossing patterns of foliage and bands throughout. Rare example of the early electroplate process that was preformed on numerous exception elements of armour in the late 19th and early 20th century. Late examples are often cast from much earlier variations and like miquettes when cast slight details are lost with each transfer. Size 7 3/4" L x 4 1/2" W
