Asante Royal Chief's Ring (14-18k Gold, 21grams)
West Africa, Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire, Akan Cultures, Asante peoples mid to early 20th century. For additional information on Asante gold Finger rings and similar examples see (Gold of the Akan from the Glassell Collection, pg. 168-185). Acid tested with no dissolution at 14k, tested at 18k with partial dissolution. Test indicates ring is in excess of 14k gold and probably closer to 18k. Total weight 21 grams. Size 1 1/4" W x 1 1/2" H
