Massive Savannah River Fossilized Megalodon Tooth
United States, southeastern Atlantic coast, likely Savannah River, ca. 28 to 2.6 million years old. This massive primary tooth is from the largest shark to ever exist - so powerful that it could eat a whale in just a few bites! The desirable black root and enamel of this natural and unpolished tooth are indicative of fossilization in what are now the coastal riverways of the United States southeastern Atlantic coast. 5.75" L (slant)

Condition: Sharp serrations with one area of chipping to the peripherary as well as minor chipping to the enamel. Root is well fossilized with minor fissures. Overall very good.
