Ifugao Philippines Pair of Standing Bulul, Rice God
Beautifully carved pair of male and female Bulul standing rice god deity statues. Each notably a pair based on the quality and consistency of the carving. Both are wonderfully rendered with clear defined features. Each figure with protruding pierced ears, almond slit and lightly hallowed eyes, narrow pointed nose, with slit mouths. Standing with hands resting on slight bent knees. Size largest (male) 20" H x 5 1/2" W
Condition: Wonderful patina throughout, losses to make figure face and base as shown in images, with other surface wear and losses commensurate with age to both throughout.
