Two English Powder Flasks
Left example an antique English or American leather covered powder flask circa. late 18th-early 19th century. 10" overall. The leather is in very good condition without any tears or splits. The gate spring is intact and functions as designed. One of the lower suspension ring absent.
Right example a antique large size powder flask of heavy brass construction, circa. early 19th century made by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield. The flask has one side with a raised embossed design of stags and game reading below "JAMES DIXON & SONS". The top of the flask is marked "JAMES DIXON & SONS", "IMPROVED PATENT". The body has some small dents, scratches and dings. A good example. 8" L
Condition: Spring in good condition. Four intact suspension rings.
