Scarce Cuirassier Breastplate Armour, Napoleonic Era
Scarce European probably Imperial German Cuirassier breastplate armour in peasecod belly form of the Napoleonic-era 1799-1815. Embossed with a raised central ridge of noticeable protrusion, low shoulders sections, and a well formed belly. Struck with a makers mark to the center of the breastplates lower Fauld above a large brass rivet. All original oversized brass rivets approximately 30 in total. Remnants of the original leather liner and edges. Reverse coated with a thin blue paint for preservation. Size 14" H x 13 1/2" W

Condition: Excellent state of preservation with light patina and oxidization as expected from age and use.
