Massive Mounted Bardiche Axe
Massive mounted Bardiche axe engraved "IHS" to the blade with some linear decoration around the edges. The bardiche was favored by infantry troops, particularly in Eastern Europe, and the surrounding regions, during the late medieval and early Renaissance periods. It was especially popular among the infantry of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Russian armies. Size 39 1/4" H on included stand, 17 3/4" H blade
