Japanese Keman Buddhist Sanctuary Ornament, Edo 1603-1867
Used in temple throughout Buddhist sanctuaries, square form of brass or gilt metal deeply patinated with green with trace gilt still visible, the ornament is cast in multiple pieces and features decorations including vases with flowers, with a bow to the center with calligraphy below. Size 16 1/4" W
Condition: As-is condition with patina and surface wear throughout.
